Baby Zodiac Sign Predictor
Enter your due date or conception date to reveal your baby's zodiac sign, element, and key traits — just for fun.
How this works
Choose whether you're starting from your estimated due date or your conception date, then pick the date. In due-date mode the tool reads that date directly; in conception mode it first estimates the birthday by adding 266 days (38 weeks) to your conception date.
The predicted birthday's month and day are matched against the twelve traditional Western zodiac date ranges — from Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 19) through Pisces (Feb 19 - Mar 20). The result updates instantly as you change the date or mode, and lives in the page URL so you can share it.
For each sign you'll see its name and symbol, its date range, its element — Fire, Earth, Air, or Water — and a one-line summary of the traits traditionally associated with it. In conception mode you also get the estimated due date the prediction is based on.
This is the same engine that powers the Baby Zodiac Predictor inside the ProbaBaby iOS app. And a friendly reminder before you start planning a star-themed nursery: zodiac predictions are for entertainment purposes only — a fun way to daydream about your little one, not a forecast of who they'll be.
The math behind it
There's refreshingly little math here, and we'll show all of it. In due-date mode: target date = your due date. In conception mode: target date = conception date + 266 days. Those 266 days equal exactly 38 weeks — and it's deliberately not the 280-day figure you may know from due date calculators, because 280 days counts from the last menstrual period while this tool counts from conception.
The sign is then a pure calendar lookup on the target date's month and day: Mar 21 - Apr 19 → Aries, Apr 20 - May 20 → Taurus, May 21 - Jun 20 → Gemini, Jun 21 - Jul 22 → Cancer, Jul 23 - Aug 22 → Leo, Aug 23 - Sep 22 → Virgo…
…and Sep 23 - Oct 22 → Libra, Oct 23 - Nov 21 → Scorpio, Nov 22 - Dec 21 → Sagittarius, Dec 22 - Jan 19 → Capricorn, Jan 20 - Feb 18 → Aquarius, Feb 19 - Mar 20 → Pisces. Leap-day babies are covered too: Feb 29 falls inside the Pisces range.
Each sign carries one of four classical elements: Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn), Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius), and Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). There's no rounding and no timezone trickery — just your calendar date, matched against twelve fixed ranges.
Frequently asked questions
Whichever sign's date range contains the actual birthday. This tool estimates it from your due date (or from your conception date plus 266 days), but the real sign is only locked in when your baby actually arrives.
We calculate the due date by adding 266 days (38 weeks) to your conception date, then look up the zodiac sign for that estimated birthday. The estimated due date is shown alongside the sign.
The sign can change if the actual birthday crosses a sign boundary (a 'cusp'). If your due date sits within a few days of a range edge — say Apr 19/20 between Aries and Taurus — either neighboring sign is possible.
Pisces. The Pisces date range (Feb 19 - Mar 20) includes the leap day, so Feb 29 babies are Pisces.
No. Zodiac predictions are for entertainment purposes only and should not be taken as factual. Think of it as a fun conversation starter while you count down the weeks.
