Who writes and checks ProbaBaby
ProbaBaby editorial is not a newsroom. ProbaBaby is built by one parent — no ads, no investors. Here is who does what behind the byline, and what we are not.
Who does what
The editor
The parent who builds the ProbaBaby app. Sets what we write about and which sources count, reads pages before search engines index them, decides what is published and answers corrections. A parent and an app maker — not a doctor, midwife or nurse.
AI writing tools
Draft most of our text, summarise sources and suggest how a page is structured. They are not a source and they don't sign anything: every health statement has to point to a source on the page.
Automated checks
Run before pages are published. They catch broken internal links, and claims about the ProbaBaby app that our fact sheet rules out.
Clinical reviewer
Not appointed yet. Health pages that need a clinician's sign-off stay unpublished until a licensed clinician has reviewed them. Every page a reviewer signs will show their name, qualification and the review date.
What this means for you
Read our pages as a well-sourced starting point, not as advice about your own pregnancy or baby. Your doctor or midwife knows your history; we don't.
