Welcome to ProbaBaby. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our baby prediction application.

By using ProbaBaby, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

• Account Information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account.
• Photos: Parent photos you upload for predictions, processed securely.
• Genetic Trait Data: Information you provide about physical traits such as eye color, hair color, and other genetic characteristics.
• Health & Wellness Data: Mood check-in entries, sleep quality data, symptom selections, postpartum recovery progress, and EPDS screening scores that you voluntarily log. This data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your encrypted cloud account.
• Baby Growth Data: Weight, length, and head circumference measurements you enter for your baby, along with milestone tracking selections.
• Fertility & Cycle Data: Menstrual cycle dates, cycle length, and related fertility tracking information you choose to enter.
• Emergency Profile Data: Medical conditions, allergies, blood type, and healthcare provider information you optionally provide for the Emergency Birth feature. This data is stored locally on your device.
• Vaccination Records: Vaccine administration dates and notes you log for tracking your baby's vaccination schedule.
• 3D Face Scan Data: If you use the LiDAR face scanning feature, depth map data is captured temporarily using your device's TrueDepth or LiDAR sensor via Apple's ARKit framework. This data is processed on-device and on our servers to enhance facial feature extraction for predictions. Depth data is not stored after processing is complete.
• Usage Data: How you interact with the app, features used, prediction history, and anonymous analytics data collected via Firebase Analytics.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting.
• Payment Data: Transaction records for credit purchases (payment details handled by App Store).

How We Use Your Data

• Generate predictions by processing your photos and genetic data through our AI
• Display your logged health and wellness data, generate progress views, and provide awareness information
• Plot your baby's measurements against WHO growth standards and display percentile information
• Calculate and display EPDS screening scores (never shared with third parties)
• Show relevant vaccination schedules, emergency contacts, and support resources for your selected region
• Analyze anonymous usage patterns via Firebase Analytics to enhance features and user experience
• Manage your account, credits, and prediction history
• Send important updates about your account or our service
• Respond to your questions and provide customer support

Data Storage & Security

We take the security of your data seriously. While we implement strong security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but strive to protect your data to the best of our ability.

• All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/SSL
• Photos and personal data are stored on secure, encrypted servers
• We use Supabase as our backend provider with enterprise-grade security
• Access to your data is strictly controlled and limited to essential operations
• We regularly review and update our security practices
• Crash logs and error reports are collected via Firebase Crashlytics to improve app stability

Photo Processing

• Photos are transmitted securely to our servers
• They are processed by our AI models to generate predictions
• Photos are stored temporarily during processing
• You can request deletion of your photos at any time
• We do not use your photos for training AI models without explicit consent
• Photos are never shared with third parties

Health Data Handling

Health and wellness data you enter in ProbaBaby (mood logs, sleep data, symptoms, EPDS scores, baby measurements, cycle data) is considered sensitive personal data. We handle this data with particular care.

ProbaBaby does not connect to Apple HealthKit or any electronic health record system. All health data exists only within ProbaBaby.

• Health data is encrypted at rest and in transit
• Health data is never shared with third parties for advertising or marketing
• Health data is never used for AI model training
• Health data is never sold to data brokers
• You can delete all health data at any time from Privacy Settings
• Upon account deletion, all health data is permanently removed
• We do not use health data to make automated decisions about you

Sensitive Data & Special Categories

Under data protection regulations (including GDPR), certain data we collect may be classified as special category data. We process this data solely based on your explicit consent, which you provide by voluntarily entering this information into the App. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the relevant data or your account.

• Genetic Trait Information: Physical trait data you provide (eye color, hair color, etc.) for predictions.
• Health Data: Mood logs, symptoms, EPDS scores, and postpartum recovery data.
• Biometric Data: Photos and optional 3D face scans used for predictions.

Your Rights

• Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Export: Download your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw Consent: Opt out of non-essential data processing.
• Object: Object to certain types of data processing.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Cloud database, authentication, and edge functions. Your account data and prediction history are stored on Supabase servers.
• Runware (Primary): AI image generation for baby predictions. Parent photos and genetic trait data are sent to Runware API for processing. Photos are transmitted securely and are not stored for model training per our API agreement.
• Replicate (Secondary): Fallback AI provider for baby image generation when primary service is unavailable.
• Fal.AI (Tertiary): Additional fallback AI provider for baby image generation.
• Apple App Store (StoreKit 2): Payment processing for in-app purchases.
• Apple ARKit: On-device 3D face scanning technology. ARKit processes depth data locally on your device using Apple's frameworks.
• Firebase Analytics (Google): Anonymous app usage analytics to improve our services. No personal photos, health data, or genetic data is shared with Firebase.
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google): Crash reporting for stability improvements. Collects crash logs and device information when errors occur.

Children's Privacy

ProbaBaby is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

The predictions generated by our app are for entertainment and educational purposes. They are not intended to be used for any decisions regarding actual children.

Data Retention

• Account data is kept until you delete your account
• Prediction history is retained for your reference
• Temporary processing data is deleted after prediction completion
• Upon account deletion, all personal data is removed within 30 days
• Anonymous, aggregated data may be retained for analytics

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will provide more prominent notice, such as an in-app notification.
